How to Manage Your Banner

Your store banner is the first thing customers see when they check out your site.

In order to manage or change your banners, you’ll have to first contact your Promenade customer success rep to have your initial banner(s) sent over to be uploaded on our backend.

After which, you can go through the Dashboard as follows:

  • Go to Vendor Dashboard > My Website > Banner
  • Click on ‘Update Banners Now’
  • Click on ‘Change Banners’
  • Select from the previously uploaded banners you had used or sent over to our team
  • Save

Banner Recommended Format

The following size suggestion applies to all banners. If you choose to user an image smaller than the size specified below, the banner will be pixelated and blurry. The larger the banner, the better!

Minimum banner size:

1440px x 400px

Design Suggestions:

  • Image Selection: It is better to use an image from your store rather than a stock image from Shutterstock, etc.
  • Text on Banner: Keep texts to a minimal on your banner. If you really want to have them on the banner, ensure that the text length is short enough to fit without shrinking the text size!
  • Call-To-Action: Don't include a call-to-action in your banner if it’s not necessary.

Other Banner Tips

  • Keep to a select color scheme and theme.
    • If your store logo or design uses red, grey, and black, factor those colors in when designing or picking your store banner!
  • Think about the vibe and mood you are trying to convey to your customers online.
    • Similar to having a consistent theme, conveying and matching your store’s online look to your actual store’s atmospheric vibe is important in speaking and selling to your customers.
  • Speak to someone on the Implementation or CS team in order to get your banner uploaded on the backend!
