3rd Party Delivery

Working with 3rd Party Deliveries? No problem - we’ve got you covered right here.

What is 3rd Party Delivery?

3rd party delivery is when you choose to have your delivery orders fulfilled by a 3rd party delivery provider like Uber Eats or DoorDash. Your customer places a delivery order on your store, you prepare the order and then an assigned driver from the selected 3rd party delivery provider picks up and delivers the order on your behalf.

Here’s how it works:

When an order is placed for delivery, your store will be alerted of the new order per usual, and the order will indicate it’s for delivery. All you will need to do is to prepare the order and make sure it’s labelled for the right customer. Then, an assigned driver from one of the 3rd party delivery providers will show up to collect the order and complete the delivery on your behalf.

If this is your first time fulfilling 3rd party delivery orders, we have provided you with a few tips to manage this experience successfully below.

Enabling/Disabling 3rd Party Delivery

Please note that you can either choose to fulfill delivery orders through self delivery or 3rd party delivery but not both at the same time.

Tips to Improve the 3rd Party Delivery Experience

  • Have a designated area in your store for 3rd Party Delivery drivers to pick up their order(s).
  • Double check your order(s)!
    • Be sure you labeled the correct orders before handing them off to your 3rd party delivery driver. Customers are more likely to leave a negative review when they receive an incorrect order by accident.
  • Implement a few safety/security measures for your 3rd party deliveries.
    • To prevent instances of fraudulent activity from the very, very few drivers who may do it, we highly recommend double checking the ID or name of the driver picking up your order(s) and ensure it matches up with the driver assigned to your order by the 3rd party delivery provider.
    • If you need any additional guidance on a specific 3rd party delivery provider, we recommend checking out their website or contacting them here.
